How is programmed regenerative microcurrent revolutionising medical care and aesthetics?
A cutting-edge BIOTECHNOLOGY that awakens and optimises the dormant regenerative capacity of cells.
Our organism is driven by a very low-intensity electrical current, a physiological microcurrent, a bioelectricity that is essential to its proper functioning (Erwin Neher & Bert Sakman Nobel Prize in Medicine 1991). This cellular microcurrent, also known as ATP, is produced by the mitochondria, organelles found in cells. ATP is the universal unit of cellular electrical energy. It is thanks to ATP that our body is able to carry out fundamental tasks such as absorbing and transforming nutrients, extracting waste, manufacturing antibodies and support tissue, duplicating DNA for cell multiplication, etc.
This electrical energy is the very basis of life. With age or illness, our cells’ capacity to produce this energy declines.
It has been shown that stimulating a cell with an external microcurrent can increase the level of ATP synthesis by up to 500%, with all the positive repercussions this can have on the body’s functions.
It’s probably the smallest anti-ageing medical device in the world, miniaturised to the extreme, but its performance is among the very best!
Our very first range of MCRP equipment was the subject of a scientific paper at the 21st European Congress of Dermatology EADV, Pragues 2012, and won the Pierantoni Paris 2013 Innovation Prize, as a forerunner in beauty tech!
Since then, we’ve developed real expertise in the cell regeneration technique, with a whole series of new MCRP programmes written, and in the unique know-how of its application in a variety of fields including medicine, medical aesthetics, well-being and sport.
A MEDICAL STORY
In the 2000s, faced with disabling skin diseases that were difficult to heal, such as varicose ulcers in diabetics, and neurological diseases that were often incurable (such as paraplegia), a group of doctors led by Dr Paul Vo Quang Dang from the CHU Saint Louis-Lariboisière in Paris set out to find a new, universal, non-drug, non-toxic medical solution.
Encouraged by 2 emeritus professors from the neurosurgery departments of major Paris hospitals, their choice fell on cellular bioelectricity, discovered by two 1991 Nobel Prize winners in medicine, Dr Erwin Neher and Dr Bert Sakmann.
During the 1st phase of research, a number of laboratory and clinical tests enabled the precise characteristics and micro-electrical properties of cellular bioelectricity to be determined. They highlighted, among other things, its capacity to regenerate the epidermis and support tissue (collagen and elastin fibres) and its powerful lipolysis capacity, estimated to be 50 times more powerful than the reference product.
Confirmed by clinical tests and officially recognised at the European Congress of Dermatology in Pragues in September 2012 as one of the ‘proven medical bio-aesthetic techniques’, the discoveries made in the laboratory have offered scientists new results, often never before seen or obtained and where everything seemed impossible.
Subsequently, the team realised that it could ‘programme’ the cellular microcurrent to first initiate the awakening and then optimise its healing, repair, regeneration and/or cellular functioning properties.
This gave rise, on the one hand, to the ‘optimised or augmented bioelectricity’ known as MCAA/MCRP, which would become this new biotechnology protected by international patents under the SkeenPatch brand and, on the other, to Transcutaneous and Ambulatory Micro-Neurostimulation (MNSTA), which would become the new non-invasive medical and aesthetic treatment of the future.
It is the starting point for ambitious projects in augmented healing, repair of neurological lesions and augmented human beings.
It is also the scientific basis for the research and development of new, innovative and ambitious biotechnologies based on programmed regenerative microcurrent.
With a wealth of new discoveries and unique knowledge in the art of optimising cellular microcurrent, our scientific team is targeting new treatment devices that could revolutionise medical and beauty care.
